FORD CITY – Rep. Jeff Pyle (R-Armstrong/Butler/Indiana), along with Rep. Donna Oberlander (R-Armstrong/Clarion/Forest) and Sen. Joe Pittman (R-Armstrong/Butler/Indiana/Westmoreland), have canceled their annual Armstrong County Senior Expo at the Kittanning Township Volunteer Fire Department which usually occurs near the end of August.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and government limitations on group sizes, we have decided to cancel our Senior Expo,” Pyle said. “While we are extremely disappointed as the event has grown every year, we don’t want anyone to become ill after attending. If you need assistance with a state-related matter, please do not hesitate to contact one of our offices.”

“Our Senior Expo is one of the highlights of the summer, and we are disappointed that we will not be holding it this year,” Oberlander said. “We encourage any senior, family member or caregiver to contact one of our offices for assistance with state-related programs and services.”

“Collectively, we have made the decision to cancel this event in the interest of public health and safety,” Pittman said. “I look forward to interacting with our senior citizens in the district and hope to resume our annual Senior Expo in the near future. Please don’t hesitate to contact my office for assistance on any state related matter.”

The trio expects to hold the event again next year.
