Oberlander Clarion District Office to Offer Free Property Tax/Rent Rebate Assistance

CLARION – Rep. Donna Oberlander’s (R-Clarion/Armstrong) district office staff will be available to provide FREE application assistance for the state’s 2012 Property Tax/Rent Rebate (PTRR) program and any other state-related issue in Clarion, Fryburg and Parker City.  

Oberlander’s first outreach assistance event will take place on Wednesday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Washington Township Fire Department located in Fryburg.  The second event will be held on Thursday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Liberty Towers retirement community located at 624 Liberty St. in Clarion.  The third event will be held on Tuesday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Parker City Volunteer Fire Department.   

Eligible participants can receive a rebate of up to $650 based on their rent or property taxes paid in 2012.  The program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians who are 65 years or older, widows and widowers 50 years or older, and those 18 years or older with disabilities. Applications are due by June 30. 

Residents are reminded to provide all the necessary income, property tax or rental information required to process claims quickly and accurately.  The 2012 Property Tax/Rent Rebate claim forms are also available by contacting Oberlander’s Clarion district office at (814) 226-9000 and online at RepOberlander.com.
