CLARION – Residents of the 63rd District who have or are serving in the military and their families are invited to Rep. Donna Oberlander’s (R-Clarion/Armstrong/Forest) Fourth Annual Veterans Expo on Thursday, Oct. 17.
This expo seeks to connect military members, veterans and their families to the variety of services and programs available to them.
“The men and women who have served in our Armed Force are heroes, and a wide range of services and programs have been designed especially for them,” said Oberlander. “Sadly, a lot of the information may not be reaching those who need it most. That’s why we have this expo, and encourage anyone who knows a veteran, military member or family to spread the word.”
The event, to be held at Trinity Point Church of God near Tractor Supply in Clarion, will run from 3-5 p.m. During that time, government agencies and nonprofit organizations that offer services to veterans and active-duty military personnel will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
Among the exhibitors participating will be those related to financial services, business and employment, health care, mental health, legal services, drug and alcohol programs, disaster preparedness, and senior-related services.
For more information, contact Oberlander’s Clarion office at (814) 226-9000.
